Course 2016/17

Glasgow & District Beekeepers - Education run courses from October to March.

The 2016-17 course began on the 6th of October and ran over 9 evenings, finishing on the 16th of March.

THIS COURSE HAS NOW FINISHED.

9 evenings at Partick Burgh Halls -  9 Burgh Hall St, Glasgow G11 5LW

Various rooms will be used: Room 9 (9), Room 10 (10), Large Hall (LH), Mid Hall (MH).

Some evenings beginning at 7pm, some evenings beginning at 7.30pm. All evenings finish at 10pm.

FORMAT: Each evening will consist of a lecture about an hour long often followed by demonstrations of various pieces of beekeeping apparatus. There will then be a tea and biscuit break followed by another short presentation and time for questions.

Practical Beekeeping with Peter Stromberg/Ian Craig

3rd November (MH) 7.30pm

23rd November (9) 7pm

1st December (MH) 7.30pm

26th January (10) 7pm

2nd February (MH) 7.30pm

 

Honey & Hive Products with Charlie Irwin

23rd February (10) 7pm

16th March (MH) 7.30pm

 

Films and props will be used when appropriate.

 

The cost for the 9 evenings is £40 which can be paid either by cheque or electronic bank transfer (bank details can be given on request). 

Cheques should be made payable to Glasgow and District Beekeepers – Education.

 

Glasgow and District Beekeepers-Education is a not-for-profit organisation.

All money not spent on let fees etc. is fed into beekeeping education. The lecturers receive no fees for their efforts, not even expenses.
