Yes we are holding our Mini Honey Show 2025 on 12th November in Langside Sports Centre, G43 2HA. Our judges will be Ed and Paul who did a marvellous and entertaining job last year.
3 classes in our fun evening
2 jars of honey – this can be light, medium, dark. It can be set or runny. It could be chunk honey. Basically two jars of honey. Ideally these will be pound jars, but if you only have 1/2lb jars, that’s fine.
Two matching candles – these can be moulded, rolled or dipped (no colour for the moulded or dipped)
Not actually a class in the Honey show, but why not bring an unlabelled jar of honey for the taste test. See below.
the rules
Honey and wax for show should be your own. If you don’t have bees, don’t let this stop you from entering – in the baking category you can of course use honey from a friend (or buy a jar!).
Our Judges will be Ed and Paul, who did a marvellous and entertaining job at last year’s event.
Bring an unlabelled jar of honey and we’ll put it in the ‘Tasting Section’. Everyone will have a chance to vote for their favourite honey. Just think of the Bragging rights this might give you – Best Tasting Glasgow Honey!!
