December’s Meeting..
This month we revived our honey show, albeit is a small way.
We had a :-
Honey judging category.
Wax Candle judging.
Gingerbread and Shortbread taste off.
All great fun and I am sure we will all be gearing up for next years show.
November’s Talk..
This month we were given a great talk and slide show by Austen Brown on the trip he organised to Sweden last summer to visit local bee-keepers.
I think all talk attendees will be booking their summer holidays in Sweden next year. Sweden just looked a tremendous place to visit.
October’s Talk..
This month we were given a hugely entertaining talk by John Durkacz of the Scottish Native Bee Society. He told us about the work done by the society and why he’s such an advocate of the native honey bee of Scotland, probably more affectionately referred to as the black bee.
